The only Twitch graphic size guide you need. Updated for 2026 requirements for Profile Pictures, Banners, Overlays, and Emotes.
1. Profile & Branding
-
Profile Picture (Avatar): 256 x 256 pixels (Max 10MB).
-
Profile Banner: 1200 x 480 pixels.
-
Pro Tip: Twitch scales this based on the window size. Keep your text/logo centered so it doesn't get cut off on mobile.
-
2. The "Live" Assets (Overlays)
-
Stream Overlay: 1920 x 1080 pixels (Standard Full HD).
-
Webcam Frame: Usually 16:9 (1920x1080) or 4:3 (1440x1080) depending on your camera settings.
-
Video Player Banner (Offline Image): 1920 x 1080 pixels.
-
Note: This is what people see when you aren't live. Make it count!
- Animated Overlays: Always use .WebM. It allows for transparency while using significantly less hardware power.
-
3. Alerts & Widgets
-
Twitch Alerts: 800 x 600 pixels (Recommended).
-
Format: Use Transparent .WebM for animated alerts to keep your CPU usage low.
-
-
Twitch Panels: 320 x 160 pixels (Width is fixed at 320px).
4. Emotes & Sub Badges
Twitch now uses Auto-Resize, so you only need to upload one high-res version:
-
Standard Emotes: 112 x 112 pixels (Must be a transparent .PNG or .GIF).
-
Subscriber Badges: 72 x 72 pixels.
